The environmental impact of straws

Have you recently used any straws?

According to a study carried out in Spain, more than 13 million straws are thrown away per day, which is a measure of 110 units per inhabitant per year.

The straw are the most used in our day to day at mealtime but many times we ignore all the consequences that it produces:

  • A straw is usually used for an hour and takes 500 years to decompose.

  • They are not biodegradable.

  • A restaurant discards approximately 45,000 a year.

  • 267 species are affected by plastic.

Let's celebrate World Oceans Day (June 8) by avoiding plastic and saving our oceans.

Imagine the change we would achieve if we all stopped using plastic straws and started using metal straws or stopped using. Say NO to plastic straws and help us change our future and the future of our oceans for the good of all.
