What is animal testing?

Animal experimentation consists of the application of the substances to be tested by scientists. It is estimated that between 50 and 100 million vertebrate animals of various species are used each year.

What do these animal tests really consist of?

Before a cosmetic or beauty product is available for human use, it must go through a series of processes, including the evaluation of the safety of the final product. This is to guarantee that it will not pose a risk to human health, however it does not guarantee that it will not harm the health of the animal when testing the product.

At the time of the test the reaction of the animal is observed, these tests are extremely dangerous, stressful and invasive, most of the

animals are sacrificed after the experiments.
